Eun Hyoung Cho is the Chief Investment Officer and co-founder of IMM Asset Management. Ms. Cho has more than 21 years of experience in top financial institutions in Korea such as Samsung Life Insurance, Mirae Asset Global Investments, and Kyobo Securities. At Samsung Life, from 2002 to 2011, the largest insurance company in Korea, she has accumulated extensive experience in investment division covering domestic and foreign bonds, FX, mutual funds, structured products, and derivatives.
From 2011 to 2017, as a representative fund manager at Mirae Asset Global Investments, Ms. Cho managed fixed income funds worth USD 6 bn. Major investors included Samsung Life, Kyobo Life, Hanwha Life, MiraeAsset Life, ING Life, Samsung Fire & Marine, Hyundai Marine & Fire, Kookmin Bank, Hana Bank, Woori Bank, NHIS, and various retirement pension funds. In 2012, she was awarded 2nd place among domestic bond fund managers.
From 2017 to 2023 at Kyobo Securities, she was in charge of derivative investments worth USD 3.7 bn. Her coverages ranged from structuring to sale & trading of interest rates, equity derivatives, and credit-linked products.
Ms. Cho holds a B.A. in Liberal Art from Yonsei University and a master’s degree in Real Estate from Konkuk University.
Hyun Jung Kim
Christine Hyun-Jung Kim is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of IMM Asset Management. Prior to IMM AM, Ms. Kim led Institutional Client Group at Deutsche Securities Korea. Ms. Kim has over 24 years of experience from leading investment banks including Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, Credit Suisse, and SBC Warburg.
Ms. Kim started her investment banking career at SBC Warburg in 1997 when cross-border M&A first started in Korea. She was involved in major M&A transactions for large corporates in Korea from 1997 through 2001.
From 2004 to 2022, Ms. Kim worked for Global Market Division at JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank. During her 19 years in Market Business, she covered most of the leading Korean Financial Institutions including pensions, insurers, banks, securities, and asset managers introducing many ‘first-ever’ products in the Korean investment market. She has experience in a wide range of products from traditional assets such as equity, bonds, FX to alternative assets like real estate, infrastructure, private debts, commodities, and fund derivatives. Especially in structured financing sector, she has led more than USD 10 bn of cross-border investments with major Korean institutions for the last 10 years.
Ms. Kim holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Yonsei University and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.
